Test Proctoring
SFLD Proctoring Test Procedures (Please note that we DO NOT proctor online tests)
Procedures and fees for having a test proctored at the library:
Scheduling Testing Times
Tests must be scheduled with the Adult Services Librarian. A testing appointment must be scheduled at least one week in advance. Test times are arranged at the availability of the staff and overall library workload: at times we may be unable to arrange a testing session within your required time period. Tests should be scheduled so that they can be completed at least 30 minutes prior to closing. If a testing appointment needs to be postponed or canceled, please call to let the staff proctor know of your change in plans.
Deadlines
It is the responsibility of the patron to assure that test packets arrive before the scheduled test time. Meeting test deadlines is the responsibility of the patron, and he/she should schedule tests well in advance of deadlines, allowing enough time for tests to reach their destination in a timely manner.
Proctoring Form
Prior to the first test, a Proctoring Form (pdf) must be completed.
Privacy For Tests
Since tests must be taken in view of the Reference Desk Librarian, privacy/quiet is not guaranteed.
Personal Belongings
Personal belongings will need to be left at the Reference Desk if the test is not an open book test. Reference staff may need to leave the desk at times to assist other patrons.
