Full Service Cards

A full-service library card  provides access to a wide range of services provided by the Silver Falls Library District, in-library Internet access, and access to materials at all 18 Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service (CCRLS) member libraries. With a full-service card, you may have 50 items checked out at one time, although there is also a checkout limit of 10 DVDs per card.

There are three ways to be eligible for a full service card:

Silver Falls Library District Resident or Property Owner
You may obtain a free full-service card since your property taxes already pay for your library service.  You also have access to materials at all 18 Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service (CCRLS) member libraries.

Resident of Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service (CCRLS), but Outside of the Silver Falls Library District (SFLD)
If you live outside the library district, and do not pay property taxes to the SFLD, but do live within the CCRLS area (Yamhill, Polk, Marion, and parts of Linn County), you can purchase a full service library card for $60 per year per household.

Non-Resident of Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service (CCRLS) District
If you live both outside the Silver Falls Library District and the CCRLS district, you can purchase a full service library card for $75 per year per household.

Limited Use Cards

Kids C.A.R.E. Cards
Children living outside the Silver Falls Library District, but within CCRLS area (Yamhill, Polk, Marion, and parts of Linn County) and who are ages 18 and younger are offered a C.A.R.E. Card (Create A Reader Everyday), which is subsidized by the Silver Falls Library and CCRLS. Kid's C.A.R.E. card holders can check out up to 25 items from the children's and young adult collections and reserve up to three items without paying a non-resident fee.  The cards are good at any CCRLS member library.

Adults
Adults living outside the Silver Falls Library District, but within CCRLS area (Yamhill, Polk, Marion, and parts of Linn County) who choose not to pay the annual fee will be provided with a Basic Service Card.  The Basic Service Card allows ten items from any CCRLS library to be checked out to the cardholder at any time, and ten holds may be on file at a time.  Resources and collections may be used on the premises.

Computer Use Only Cards

Computer Guest Pass
  • Library Visitors Without a Library Card will need a Computer Use Guest Pass to access the Internet.  A free 45-minute Guest Pass, good for one day only, may be obtained at the Reference Desk. The patron will be asked to show their I.D. and fill out a Guest Pass Form.
  • Visitors 15 years and younger may obtain a Guest Pass if their parent/legal guardian signs permission.  Use the library application form for the signature, and attach it to the Guest Pass Form.
  • Guest Passes are good for one day only and allow computer use of up to 135 minutes.

Computer Use Only Cards
Full computer use allows up to 135 minutes per day and requires you to have your CCRLS library card with you.  Full computer use (135 minutes) is also available when you purchase a 2-month Computer Use Only Card for $5.00
