Classical Guitarist: Peter Fletcher
Music of Four Centuries
Thursday November 13th
7:00 - 8:00 pm
Fletcher began guitar study at the age of seven under classical guitar instructor John Sutherland. In 1980, classical guitarist Jose Tomas, Andres Segovia’s teaching assistant in Spain, held a weeklong master class in Atlanta. Fletcher was the youngest student to perform in the class, playing music by Bach and Carcassi.
In more than 30 years of performance since that time, Fletcher
has appeared on national radio, television and in numerous
prestigious venues, including New York’s Carnegie Hall.
Peter offers an audience friendly, solo recital including a repertoire that runs the gamut from the Renaissance Period through the 20th Century.
