Circulation Assistant

JOB TITLE:     
Circulation Assistant

PRIMARY  DUTIES:
Staff the Circulation Desk: check library materials in and out, collect fines and fees, answer telephones, issue library cards, locate and retrieve library materials, shelve library materials, and assist the public.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education minimum of High School diploma or GED; excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills; good time management and the ability to operate standard library and office equipment. Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English, and who have worked in an automated environment that required computer keyboarding, and data entry skills.

HOURS:  
Part-time: 20 hours per week

WAGE:                    
$16.09 per hour (17.09/hour for candidates with proven fluency in both Spanish and English)

TÍTULO DE LA POSICIÓN:                
Asistente de circulación 

RESPONSABILIDADES:
 Personal de reception y circulacion: verificar la entrada y salida de materiales de la biblioteca, cobrar multas y tarifas, contestar teléfonos, emitir tarjetas de biblioteca, ubicar y recuperar materiales de la biblioteca, guardar los materiales de la biblioteca y ayudar al público.
 
CALIFICACIONES MÍNIMAS
Educación mínima (diploma de secundaria o GED) Excelentes habilidades interpersonales, de comunicación y de servicio al cliente; buena gestión del tiempo y capacidad para operar equipos de oficina y biblioteca.Se dará preferencia a los candidatos que sean bilingües (español e inglés) y que hayan trabajado en un entorno automatizado que requiera el uso de computadoras y habilidades de ingreso de datos.
